But... if you call them, I believe they will tell you how to update to the later style wad fingers. When I ordered mine they still have several of the old style.

There's no need to retrofit your reloader until/unless these become unavailable. Replacing with the Hornady fingers is a lot less work.The MEC 600 Jr. is no exception. The shells were coming out looking domed on top. I think the crimp punch/die assembly may have been what my dad replaced (he said parts were missing and he ordered replacements) before he gave it to me and that the settings are just way off.

Complete a shell, grab a primer, drop it in, grab a hull and take off. MEC 600 Jr.'s (Pre-'82) will have a 'Straight-bolt' for knocking primers out. The newer Mark 5 versions and the Versamec (I think) use a 'J-shaped' bolt. Wipe the dirt off and oil the parts that move with the exception of the charge bar and the hinge where the top folds back. They do not need any lubrication.
